Well today i went for an interview for a Change and Configuration Managers Position with Capita Life and Pensions in Gloucester. Bit of a drag to get up there and get to the office, but that's mainly cos the A46 is still closed after Stroud.
So i got up there ok and did got to the interview for 3:30pm. They went through me CV and asked me a load of questions and wanted some examples of stuff, the usual nonsense really. Then we got in to s bit more depth and asked me to provide some solutions to a few issues they have, come up with a few ideas and stuff, so i waffled away and told them what i thought and the interview rolled on. The interview finished and they said they had a couple more people to interview and they'd hope to get back to me within a week.
Well i left the office about 4pm and got straight in me car to scoot off home, i pottered back and had a bit of a nose around Tetbury in the way home. I'd always been told it was lovely, really proper Cotswoldy type town, and it is very nice, then i carried on back home. I had a phone call on the way back but i didn't pick it up as i was driving.
So i got home about and was just settled down with a cold beer when i got a phone call from the agent! Basically Capita decided they didn't need to interview anyone else and they offered me the job at the salary i'd asked for and everything
LOL LOL LOL
So that's great news and i'm really chuffed. There is a little issue in that they are moving the office to Cheltenham,so initially a little way to go, but i think we might move north of Bath (possibly Tetbury!) as its probably easier for Miss_Bocky. Anyway, there's another slight issue, i have an assessment day with AXA next wednesday, and i'd really like to see what the 'vibe' there is like. The AXA job is in Bristol, so it just up the road, so no need to move really and the money would probably be similar.
So i said to the agent that it was brilliant and i really liked the idea of taking in the challenge. But i also said i would like to see what AXA have to say so i can make a really informed decision. So its good news, as long as they can wait for me. Hopefully by Wednesday i will have a feel about AXA then i can make a decision...........i hope........that is unless they dude who put me forward for the Vehicle Operating Standards Agency comes back to me and says they want to see me.......that would throw a right spanner in the works !!!!
So it's kind of good news but also a bit awkward :?
(Then there's the other job with Lincoln Financial who have told the agent they haven't seen anyone more suited to their job role than me at the moment, so they may make me an offer tomorrow :? :| :?
Decisions decisions :x
