I'd like them to give Jenson Button his seat at McLaren. 'Bout time he go a decent car.
It won't happen though. :|
That would be great 8) He does deserve a break

Lewis Hamilton will not receive any penalty for his handling of the second safety car period in last Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.

Sebastian Vettel's 10-place grid penalty for colliding with Mark Webber during the same caution has also been annulled.

A statement from the stewards said that punishments would be inappropriate given the extremely wet conditions at Fuji.

Bet that pleased Mark Webber LOL

Well they've got two days to think of something else to stop him winning it....Check the car over after every lap in practice & Qualifying...Its Pathetic

Sorry Wicky, but that decision makes a joke of the FIA stewards

Imagine it this way. Maiden Madness is driving down the motorway and it was raining really heavily. I was behind him, going at a similar speed, close but not too close. Then rockin is tucked up behind me, we are all trying to make sure we don't get done for speeding by the cop car on the inside lane...(Safety Car)

Suddenly MM brakes, for no reason, he just wants me to do something erratic so that the Cops see me (Overtake behind the safety car) so i brake really hard to avoid him so i won't get busted.

Poor old rockin is watchin the cops so he doesn't get done for speeding.....BANG!!!!! he's hit me up the back.... :x :x :x

Now was that caused by the weather, or caused by MM being a cock and trying to trick me? :?

Same with Lewis i'm afraid :|

I think this whole thing has been the same as most of the season :| If Lewis had done something wrong we'd have all seen and said something at the time......it even took Webber 4 days to make a complaint  Surely he'd have spoken up straight away :? Lewis had been on the radio to try and get Webber to back off a bit, if you look at the clip Lewis was too close to the safety car and went out wide so he could see. I honestly think the only thing to blame was the shitty weather.

It wouldn't matter. The Police, like the FIA, wouldn't do anything about it anyway. :| Too much paperwork. :|

I was involved in a Motorway incident a couple of years ago, in a very similar situation to the one described, except it was hail as opposed to rain.
There was something like 7/8 cars and a lorry involved and I was somewhere in the middle. I think my car was rammed about 3 times, Once in the Back, that caused it to spin and twice head-on.
My daughters legs were broken and my son suffered minor head injuries.
The Police official line was that they 'Could not determine Who was at Fault, so no further action would be taken.'
Despite the fact that it emerged that one of the vehicles (a white Peugeot) had earlier been reported stolen from Torquay.
I would scan and print the Police report but I can't be bothered. Unless you really want to see it.

In terms of the 'Lewis' incident , the way I saw it he was simply trying to keep tyre and brake temperatures up.
Giving it 'the berries' , then dropping the anchor.
Failure to do so was Something that possibly contibuted to Senna's death at Imola.
When, It is rumoured, An unusually long safety car period had reduced the pressures in Senna's tyres, thereby lowering the car. As the car entered the Tamburello bend, the skid-plate on the bottom of the car connected with the ground, rendering the car's steering and lateral grip useless.

That's a fair comment, I do think there was a bit of gamesmanship by Lewis, but you've got a point about the length of time involved in the complaint.

Probably a case of Webber trying it on a bit as well, i guess that's always gone on though.

Again good points Fraidy, there is an element of having to keep the temp in the tyres up, i realise that. I do think that a big issue here is the use of safety car where the performance difference is so great from the formula one cars.

It makes it much harder for drivers to keep the temperatures within that kind of 'race ideal' window. They don't have any choice but to break and accelerate and brake to maintain some working grip in the tyres.

Makes me wonder if they should be using a DTM car as a safety car or something like that :?

Great Result this race 8)

Rumour has it that Ferrari had put a dud bit of info in the secrets McLaren
had........
It said.........

If the tyres are worn and its wet..... dont change them :D

Williams driver Alex Wurz has confirmed his immediate retirement from
racing in Formula 1.

The 33-year-old Austrian will not compete for the team in the season-
ending Brazilian Grand Prix and ends his career with 69 race starts and
three podium finishes.

Wurz, who made his F1 debut as a stand-in for Gerhard Berger at
Benetton in 1997, admits he had first thought about calling it a day earlier
in the year.

“I would today like to announce my retirement from active racing in
Formula 1,” he said in a team statement.

“I would like to thank my family and fans, everyone at AT&T Williams and
my previous teams, as well as the media, for all of their support during
my Formula 1 racing career.

“In such a hard fought environment as Formula 1, I have always
maintained that if you have a moment’s doubt about what you are doing,
then it is time to stop.

“Privately I began to have these thoughts earlier this year and so have
decided that now is the time to make my announcement.”

The FIA is to appoint an official with special responsibility for ensuring that
McLaren treats its two drivers equally at next weekend’s world title-
deciding Brazilian Grand Prix.

The team issued a statement on Wednesday reiterating its commitment to
giving Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso equal chances of winning the
championship – but Formula 1’s governing body has decided it needs to
intervene to ensure this is the case.

The easiest thing to do would have been to ban Alonso for at least the rest
of this season for his part in the Ferrari spying scandal :|

I don't blame Wurz for retiring from F1, hopefully he'll stay testing or get a race drive in another series of motorosport.

He's always struck me as being a really nice chap, so good luck to him

:? Silver Ferrari or a Scarlet Ferrari........

As long as it aint Alonso :|

Obviously Kimi would be my 1st choice........
But we all know the story so far :D

Lewis Hamilton is facing a possible penalty after McLaren broke a Formula
1 sporting regulation during the first free practice session at Interlagos.

Hamilton, who stands on the brink of his childhood dream of winning the
world championship and takes a four-point lead into Sunday’s season
finale in Brazil, used two sets of wet-weather tyres during the 90-minute
morning session, contravening Article 25.3 of the F1 sporting regulations.

Article 25.3 states: “No driver may use more than one set of wet and one
set of extreme wet tyres during P1 and P2.”

The rule is a new addition to the F1 sporting regulations this year.
Hamilton, Honda driver Jenson Button and Super Aguri’s Takuma Sato
were all found to have used two sets of wet tyres during Friday’s first
session in Brazil.

The three drivers concerned have been summoned to see the stewards
individually following the afternoon practice session.

Ron Dennis added: “Hopefully it won’t cost the team, except maybe by
having some constructors’ points taken away.
