Fair points Screamy and Fraidy, Ben seems to be changing his views on certain music and that's something we all do from time to time i guess.
I suppose its just because i know Ben has/had been such a die hard Maiden fan its just been a bit of a surprise to me now his view seems to have changed, not that its a bad thing of course.
Most importantly as long as Ben is happy listening to whatever he's listening to its cool.
I know i can get drawn in to and get easily caught up in the world of Maiden and other bands. Sometimes its easy for me to forget that people have different views and tastes and that they may love stuff that i like or sometimes hate it.
I know there are bands i used to love that i really can't imagine liking now, but i do know that other people like them so i always try hard to remember that (its not always easythough :err

A couple of months ago Ben's relationship with Beth was Cool.
It's all cool, the dudes just going through a rough spot
I still enjoys Maidens old music, dont get me wrong!
I just dont agree with their decisions lately, for me a Maiden show isnt a Maiden show without the songs that got me hooked on them years ago. I just cant rock out the songs like The Longest Day, on their 'golden years' tour, I'll definetley be there, because I prefer old skool Maiden to some of the new stuff, I just feel the whole 'epic' road their going down doesnt suit them, I do love a long Maiden song, like ROTAM, ATG, POTO..but they are seriously overdoing it on this album, and their new album isnt that much of a classic to be played live. Each to their own though, I still enjoy their music, the new album isnt as good/exciting for me as DoD was back in 2003 but thats just my opinion
The whole Beth thing isnt really playing a factor in it, shes still heavily on my mind though :|
Also I sold my ticket for these reasons..
1.) Because there was no way I could afford hotels, train tickets, merch/food money on the wage packet I'm on! Roughly 55 pounds a week :|
2.) I needed to replace my then hi hats, because they sounded like shit, and I didnt want to start playing gigs sounding like a tool LOL
To be honest, the setlist didnt really bother me, I dont particuarly like it, but I should of known I wouldnt of been able to get down to Cardiff, stay in a hotel, do some afterparty thing :| and spend another load of money which I basically dont have :|

They will have completed the UK tour for this album well before Donington, next year (before the end of this year even) , so there is no point taking this show to a festival in the middle of the year. And I can't see them cashing in on doing a greatest hits show next year followed by a different greatest hits tour the following year on the back of the next 'History of...' Dvd :|

the strange is that i read on the official french MaidenForum (which seems to have some credible news) on interview that Nicko made in Japan about a tour on 2007 in relation with the "history p2 dvd"
I can't believe that they will be on tour in 2007 coz they are just finishing a big one en december. The trouble thing is that Nicko also said that they could register another album very quickly :?
Steve always said that they will stop after their 15th album so.............just one studio album to go................
