The Empire State Building was the first tall building to need two riser shafts. This was due to the enormous floor areas of the tower stories. Seven miles of elevator shaft houses 73 elevators, allowing travel of up to 80 stories in a minute. The total length of elevator hoisting, compensating and governor ropes is 636,361 feet or over 120 miles. The exterior of the building alone boasts 200,000 cubic feet of Indiana limestone and granite, 10 million bricks and 730 tones of both aluminum and stainless steel. :? :?
where did you get this from?
here is how it goes chrysler is the tallest building in the world made of bricks, empire is taller therefore it cannot be made of bricks. Besides i saw both and chrysler is made of bricks while empire isn't

Every1 forgets about him

You still race then :?

Not for a while, i think i'm a bit passed it. I was ok, fairly quick, reasonable top eight material at Formula Ford and Formula 3, with a chance at F3000 and Italian touring car a few years back. I didn't always have the money to fund it, and to be honest, the other guys we're just "that" bit quicker.

I lost 2 very good friends in the space of 8 months thorugh racing accidents. They we're far better than me, quicker, more precise, more aggresive. When they we're killed, it made me think a little. I haven't raced professionally for 6 years or so :(

You're right of course.

I bear a certain amount of responsibility, or at least that is how i feel, for the death of one of them.
