Thats exactly what i'm saying.

Can't believe I rushed home from my dad's to watch 6 cars "race" :|
my opinion - its what teams like williams and mclaren deserved
when ferrari was winning everything they done everything to prevent that from happening. they were for the changes cause it was to stop ferrari and give them a chance and now when it backfired on them you really cant say they didnt deserve it
if it was up to me there would be severe punishemtns for all teams that refused to drive today
but i dont support the tyre rule

Hopefully Ferrari can sort themselves out now and get Schumi back up beating alonso and raikonnen

Ferrari boss Jean Todt has described the Michelin teams’ demand for a
temporary chicane at Indianapolis as “ridiculous.”

He insisted that Ferrari did not veto the chicane proposal as it was not
even consulted about it – not that consultation would have made any
difference to its position.

“We would not have agreed, but we were never asked about it,” said Todt.

“Is it serious to decide to put in a chicane in half an hour with nobody
testing it?

“It’s ridiculous.”

Todt suggested that if it had been Ferrari and Bridgestone in trouble, none
of the other teams would have come to their aid.

“If, for example, we don’t have enough grip for qualifying and we ask for
three laps because we have good grip after the third lap; or if we ask for
a chicane because we think it would be safer for our tyres, I think
everybody would laugh at us,” he said.

“Honestly, why should we compromise?”

Some have argued that the race should have gone ahead as a non-
championship event with a more ad hoc approach to the tyre and circuit
rules.

But, according to Todt, Ferrari would have boycotted any such event.

“If this race had been a race without points, we would not have started,”
he said.

The FIA has released details of the charges that the seven Michelin teams
will face at next Wednesday's World Motor Sport Council hearing.

McLaren, Williams, BAR, Renault, Toyota, Sauber and Red Bull Racing are
all accused of contravening article 151c of the International Sporting
Code – the clause that refers to “acts prejudicial to the interests of
competition or motorsport generally.”

The FIA informed each team individually that they had committed the
following transgressions:

* “Failed to ensure that you had a supply of suitable tyres for the race."

* "Wrongfully refused to allow your cars to start the race."

* "Wrongfully refused to allow your cars to race subject to a speed
restriction at one corner, which was safe for such tyres as you had
available."

* "Combined with other teams to make a demonstration damaging to the
image of Formula 1 by pulling into the pits immediately before the start of
the race."

* "Failed to notify the stewards of your intention not to race.”

The seven teams must defend themselves against these charges at next week’s meeting.

At present, all of the FIA’s condemnation has been focused directly on the
seven teams rather than Michelin itself.

The FIA’s stance is that the teams should have agreed to run at a reduced
speed through Turn 13 rather than boycotting the race.
