Sitting on the couch, waiting for my food to cook. Watching the storm. There's thunder and lightning

Just got home. My back hurts. All these people walked in 5 minutes before close and I told them we were about to close

I hadn't had dinner and I'm not staying more than a couple minutes late. Get your shit done earlier

Finished the ballot. I'm glad I do vote by mail because then I can look up people as needed

I have a jury summons tomorrow and I'm looking up what to wear. Like, I think it's going to be jeans and a sweater and that's honestly nicer than what I wear to work

I don't have a lot of nice clothes and I'm not buying shit for this

I had no idea what to expect since that's the first time I've had to go in for a jury summons. I wore jeans and chucks and a number of other people were wearing jeans as well.

They showed us an intro video that was actually funny and acknowledged that most people don't want to do this. They called a few groups and the rest of us sat around until lunchtime. Then we got dismissed. I got $35 for it. Not bad for sitting for 3 hours.

Getting up early and dealing with a packed train was the worst part.

I think it could be interesting to be in a jury but the timing is extremely bad. I still have a bunch of things to do with deadlines coming up fast. I'm trying not to miss any work days because the economy is complete shit thanks to that stupid fucking idiot.
