Sunday, 24 February. Tottenham Hotspur wins the League or Carling Cup for the 4th time after beating holders Chelsea 2-1 in the Final at Wembley, London. Ivorian star Didier Drogba scored first for Chelsea in the 38th minute while Tottenham had Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov equalized through a penalty in the 69th minute and finally Jonathan Woodgate sealed victory by heading the Spurs' second goal in the 94th minute during extra-time as both teams were held to a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes. He was later awarded the Man of the Match during the trophy presentation.
