And part of the reason for ditching Ellefson was apparently his lack of ambition. He would only ever do 'enough', hardly ever pushing himself. His Sacking had been a long time coming, there was talk of getting rid of him 10 years ago, before Risk, but Mustaine was determined to keep him in the band. But, allegedly, he was demanding exorbitant fee's for doing fuck all. :|

Well i've been told :oops: .... LOL to me they sounded great & Pitrelli looked a pretty good guitarist to me but i don't look that deep into it...just get to like certain members of bands & just think it was a shame in this case that they had made their best album (in my eyes) since Countdown To Extinction in 'The World Needs A Hero' & couldn't carry it on after he recovered from the injury!!
 
killy and hairy with their band (Atomnium) will play a gig tonight in their town 8) :banana: and killy will play the lead guitar and the solo on the song 'the killing road' by Megadeth with another band and his teacher 8) 8)

but let me tell you :D LOL

originally, they had to play 5 songs and start (after a guitar intro) with a 'highway to hell' cover and continue with their own songs 8)

but just to the start, their girl singer started to sing but there was no sound so, hairy 'the legendary drummer LOL ' decided to throw his drumstick in the audience but (by mistake :err:) the sound engineer received it in the head ===> LOL (unlucky hairy) so he decided that *fuckin' band* won't play and definitely cut the sound :| . Fortunately, the audience screamed for Atomnium (the band's name) and hairy's father negociate with the hurt man 8) and finally they played............... but shorter :| :| :|

Finally, killy told me that they were amazing and won some contacts for some next gigs 8) 8) 8)

hairy could have a new name as drumsticky 8) LOL :err: LOL LOL

Still, the worst thing that could of happened with Hairy is no one caught his drumstick, it could of just landed on the floor and people looking around like this :err:

just read a Saxon report in the last Rock Hard mag. Harvey Goldsmith follow them for a documentary about their career which should be on Channel 4 on April :wink:
