No. I'm mixed-Mexican, German, and Native American. He's going to war over there. I hate this stupid pointless war, it takes lives for no reason (okay-there is a reason , this country's president is a fuckhead).

The 'war' is not over. There's still much instability because the warmongers are too busy fuckin' off to get things straightened out. They want the instability because they want the country to rely on our help. Any how-he just got back a couple of weeks ago, and a few days before he came here the troops were attacked and shelled.

Strange how we see things differently. The media has never been objective :roll:

There's not much news on the war here. There are some occassional segements on special events, but as I and lots of people I know here see it, the war ended a long time ago.

How much longer does he have to stay in Iraq?

I don't really watch the news. I get info. straight from people who are there. There are still a lot of soldiers dying every day over there. But they are not all American either. He'll be there a few more months. He's only 21- it's so damn messed up that he's being sent there in the prime of his life. :cry:

Christ! That's just way too young to be sent of to war (when are you old enough really :roll: ). I think there's a law in Norway that says you have to be a certain age to go off to war.

It's all screwed up :cross:

I am not sure what the most appropriate age would be. But I don't agree with sending them so young. He hasn't even been able to really enjoy life yet. i have a friend who's husband is being sent there too-they just got married and she's pregnant. So many widows and children without fathers :cry:

Nobody should experience war during their lifetime. I sometimes think back to when I was a kid and lived in Iran during the war. I can only imagine how the soldiers must feel :(

The odd thing is-since there has not been a war on U.S. soil for a long time, people here don't fully understand the pain and suffering it causes. That's why so many young men are willing to join the army. They think it's like in the movies. I've known a lot of people who have been in war-and I try my hardest to comprehend what they've gone through. I wish it on no one.
