03/11/2006IRON MAIDEN AND ROD SMALLWOOD FORM PHANTOM
It was announced today that both Iron Maiden and manager Rod Smallwood are no longer with the Sanctuary group/organisation. Rod has set up a new company Phantom Music Management to continue managing the band and has been joined by his key Maiden players Val and Dave. This new management arrangement will have no effect whatsoever on current and future plans for Maiden, the fan clubs or anything else Maiden related. Rod comments-
'I formed Sanctuary in 1979 and named it after the Maiden song, so its a bit of a wrench leaving after all these years. However in the latter stages of my career I want to be able to fully concentrate on and enjoy managing Maiden without being distracted by other areas of the business. As you all know we have an awful lot going on and we have many exciting plans for the future. The forthcoming European Tour will be incredible and l want to be at as many of the concerts as possible to enjoy the feeling l think you can only really get at a Maiden show! My new company is called Phantom and no prizes for guessing where that came from. Dont worry - its Maiden business as usual!!'

on to ne najavljuje, nego to najavljujem ja znajući Roda po dosadašnjem radu, a što se tiče Rod Dickinsona, odi na sanctuary stranice, pa ga nađi u roasteru, pa mu pročitaj bio.... ne znam...

Shillong flocked. Shillong heard. Shillong shuddered. For, the "music capital" of the North-East was just not prepared for Paul Di'Anno's version of hard rock. The former Iron Maiden vocalist hollered abuses and turned a relaxed Saturday evening gathering at the Polo Grounds into a confused mass.
Mothers, kids in tow, squirmed in their seats as the Englishman and his band of bad boys peppered their performance with four-letter words and more.
The crowd thinned midway into the much-awaited performance and bottles and stones flew on to the stage. Police tamed the rock lovers with batons, but by that time, the party was already over.
Maybe it was normal for a man who calls himself 'Beast' and sports a tattoo that screams 'GOD = SUCKER' on the back of his head. Maybe it was a done thing for someone who had said: "Religion kills everybody. I don't believe in it. I don't give a f**k."
I don't like being disrespectful towards musicians, particularly those who have had an important part in Maiden's history, but DiAnno gets an awful lot of attention around the world for being Iron Maidens first frontman. It's about time he started to earn that attention in my opinion.
