Evo, da prije nego što napišem review koncerta èestitam West Ham Unitedu na današnjem ponovnom ulasku u Premier Ligu! Steve Harris trenutno slavi sa deèkima u Sports Baru u Grazu i danas najavljuje vrhunski slavljenièki koncert...

(7:30pm 30th May)

I did however write a wee bit of the diary on the plane from Katowice in Poland.

We played there last night and man was it fantastic. A brilliant evening was had and delivered.
We had made a change to the running order of the set but it still needs a wee tune up so to speak.
We hit the stage at 9:30 and had a great night. We played a lot tighter than the night before and were very happy with the way we all played.
The crowd were absolutely nuts. At one time towards the end of the evening they were chanting out something SSSOOO load, for so long that it sent a goose bump up me back.
We later found out that it meant THANK YOU!!!!!!
What a buzz I can tell you!!!!
27000 Polish fans singing with us and chanting things, it was truly a momentous evening.
After the show we went back to the hotel and met in the bar for a wee nightcap.
Dragonforce joined us; they had opened the show for us.
Nice bunch of chaps they are as well!!!
After a couple of glasses of Ducru I went to me bed.
Thank you to all of our friends in Poland for making us so welcome as usual. You are very special to Maiden.

The next day we flew to Katowice, Poland around midday. A police escort awaited us and was with us throughout driving between gig and hotel and airport. Certainly helps to get through any traffic. We played Poland in the mid eighties extensively having taken over there for the first time by anyone a full Western tour production with the great Powerslave production and tour in 84 so its always been a special place for us and the support of the fans there has always been amazing. There were about 25,000 of them at the Mystic Festival at the Chorzow Slaski stadium. Mostly everything went well and all the details of the production, drapes, pyro etc worked out well. The only problem was with the sound, although that’s some problem. It was a very hot day and the front of stage security were spraying the front rows with water to keep them cool but stupidly they allowed water to get sprayed on the PA amps at the front of the stage and by the time we went on it had penetrated the amps and led to general distortion in the sound. Our sound engineer, Dougie, who is normally quite mild mannered, was going apeshit but there was nothing that could be done about it. The underlying distortion affected the impact and volume which was a real drag as the fans deserved better although it didn’t seem to affect their enjoyment of the show and perhaps they didn’t notice. But we did. Otherwise it was a good show and the band played really well.

After the show we went back to the hotel bar on the top floor of the hotel with all glass walls and a fantastic view over the city. The guys from Dragonforce joined us for a beer or three and Bruce and myself had a good and at times hilarious chat with them - most of it censored. They supported us - and went down great - in Poland and will also be in Austria, Lisbon, Spain and some other places so check them out
 
E sad èitajte šta kaže Nicko i jaja si pojedite, kad smo ja i stipe rekli da bi trebali do hotela njihovog otiæ, nitko nije htio!

Odlicna je ova prva slika, ekipa u Zagrebu (povratak kuci).

BTW, kako se zove ovaj tip s moje desne strane (ja sam ovaj skroz desno dolje sa bijelom majicom), zaboravio sam mu ime, a 2/3 puta sam sjedio kraj njega...

Na iducem koncertu idemo u hotel ako ne dobijemo meet & greet. So it shall be written, so it shall be done!
 
kad smo skužili da je spavanje oko 60kn po osobi, a da se cijelu noæ možeš voziti taksijem za 5 kn po osobi..... Do godine obvezatno se ide i na spavanje.... a i obeæali smo si da bi se mogli zaletiti na Maidene u Skandinaviju.

P.S. Slike æe najvjerojatnije danas, juèer sam bio preumoran...

Zakon, predbiljezujem se... koliko treba uplatiti? :)

A da se organizira nekakav odlazak u npr London? :)
 
Nadam se samo da necemo busom do tamo! :D

Ali eto, iduce godine bismo mogli iskoristiti Ryan Air, pa za 20ak eura po osobi odletjeti kamo god hocemo...
 
Wrathchild umjesto Charlotte the Harlot, a mislim da su pomakli Revelations malo kasnije.

Ove je previse za mene. Treci red u Grazu. 1900 km i 3 koncera u 5 dana.

BTW Ispred mene je bio netko iz Zadra. Rekao je da mu je ovo 25 koncert Maidena i da je bio u Pragu i Poljskoj. cca. 180 cm malo krupniji. Stipe znas li ga?

Mene je povratna karta do Pariza iz Bratislave dosla 100 eura (sa svim taksama) sa SkyEurope.

Ma mozak mi je na minimumu. Ne mogu sad.

Kao i u Pragu prvi sam poceo s "Nicko, Nicko, ..." prije nego ga je Bruce predstavio. :)

Da malo bolje pogledaš vidio bi i da onaj u crvenoj majici izgleda isto kao i Harris u mladim godinama, a onaj dolje što èuèi da je isti Bruce u osamdesetima...

Sva Tri su iz Splita, iliti Marko Murray, Tony Harris i Vlado Dickinson...
 
Ljudi trebali bi ta videao poèet skidat sa one stranice što je Domino dala, ja èu ih tu iz škole probat skinut sve pa zapržit na cd i poslat Stipi!
 
Cmarec, jesi li ti poskidao sve slike i vide-e sa sajta kojeg je Domino dala? Ja sam sada to pokusao napravit pa mi javlja da je taj server presao dnevni bandwidth limit tako da trenutno nista nemogu skidati (vjerovatno do ponoci, kad bi se trebalo moc).
Zanima me cisto da ne skidam ukoliko ti vec jesi pa cemo svi to dobiti od Stipe.. a ako nisi, veceras cu ja sve to poloviti :) :)
 
E to ja zovem poklonom :)
Svaka cast majstoru koji se tako necega zelio odreci i pokloniti! Svaka cast te cestitke sretnom dobitniku :)

p.s. Gdje misli drzat taj znojnik i kad ga nema doma obicno? :)
