1893 - Nikola Tesla gives the first public demonstration of radio.
1989 and onward - March 1 is known as Beer Day in Iceland, celebrating the end of a 74-year-long ban on beer. cheers.gif

March 5 - It's Casimir Pulaski Day, a holiday honoring the Revolutionary War cavalry officer. He did all of these super important things for the military and he's known as the father of the American cavalry.

He also got shot in the butt.

Nobody ever forgets the last part. :D

1475 - Michelangelo was born! The Italian artist, not the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

He created a ton of great art over his lifetime and made some of his most famous pieces while still in his 20s. :eek:

His knowledge of anatomy is really damn impressive.

1933 - Barbara Feldon, Agent 99 from Get Smart, was born.
1946 - Frank Welker, voice actor who is in nearly every American cartoon made since 1969, was born.

1956 - Steve Harris was born! He's in this band called Iron Maiden. Some of you may have heard of it. :B

1576 – Actor Jerome Savage takes out a sub-lease to start the Newington Butts Theatre outside London.

It was one of the earliest Elizabethan theaters, possibly built before the... lol, I can't go on, the name has butts in it. :D

1974 - The Terracotta Army was discovered in China's Shaanxi Province by farmers trying to dig a well. It has over 8,000 life-sized figures of soldiers, horses and even chariots, all made of terracotta. They were arranged in battle formation around the tomb of the first emperor of China.

I never really gave SOAD a chance until I saw Serj Supporting Foo Fighters.....
Then I gave em a try o_O

Listen to Chic N Stu, that's quite catchy as well.... and BYOB, Violent Pornography, Cigaro....

In fact Hypnotize & Mezmerize are both pretty good albums, and Steal This Album (I did :cool:)
They seem pretty fun :cool:
