2001 - Peter Criss played his final show with KISS in Charleston, South Carolina. He was later replaced by Eric Singer.
 
1964 - The secret marriage of the Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts to Shirley Ann Shepherd took place.

1971 - John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono appeared on The Dick Cavett Show on A.B.C. to promote his new L.P. and film Imagine, Ono's book, two films and a fine arts show.

2002 - The 2002 Asian Games were closed. China returned home with a total of 308 medals (150 gold, 84 silver, 74 bronze).
