Do they pay you for that ??

Was my first thought....

I hope it’s an easy decision....
Never been called up, but must be really hard having someone’s future in your hands

It's $17.20 for each day that I'm on a jury

That's if I get picked. It's highly likely that I'll just be waiting around the courthouse and sent home at the end of the day without being on a jury at all.

That's the rate for my state

I think they pay more if you end up in a trial that runs long

Would $17.20 a day cover your loss of earnings...

Nope

You can get excused from jury duty but you still have to go to the courthouse and waste your day doing it.
