He was invited by Paul McCartney as a guest.

So surely refusing to be there would be classed as pretentious :?

Notice that my correctly spelt pretentious is different to your pretencious,
so it may have a different meaning.

I agree he did look a bit outta place there.... but he enjoyed himself.

What would have really made it is if McCartney let him sing a verse of
band on the run.......

Funny how his old band were so anti-establishment and now he's a big corporate rocker, playing gigs with members of The Beatles and whatnot.

Maybe pretentious wasnt the word, hypocrite is probably a better one!

But hey, thats just my opinion :)

Ok we all got em :wink:

In reality Cobain was the anti-establishment element of the band........
The others just followed his lead.........
Grohl was just the quiet drummer boy back then......
He has moved on now......

It seems to be a good decision on his part.......

And he has always listed Led Zep, The Who, The Beatles, and The Rolling
Stones as his heroes, so dont you think he would have been silly
to turn down the chance to jam with McCartney :? ..........

I'm not saying he should of turned it down etc. It'd be an honour to play with such a legendary musician such as Paul McCartney. I just dont see what he's done in his career thats so amazing, I just find his music a bit too mumsy and VERY overrated (for my tastes), and find him incredibly annoying:| its getting me all wound up just writing about it :roll:
