Well because its a country with a lot of space. With a great outdoor lifestyle. And there seems to be a more realistic "cost of living" there.

There are soem downsides to it of course. The distance away from family and friends. The fact that the economy of the region of (Asia-Pac) is not so stable. etc, etc

But its just tempting :|
well why not go somewhere cheap, tempting but with business options
like columbia for example
it can't be expensive cause people live like crap
and you can make your life working for some drug cartel

If i was to work out in NZ, i'd probabaly earn a bit less than i do now. But the difference is as follows. If i got a salary of, say $60 - 75,000 NZ. And Miss_Bocky got about the same.

Buy a nice 3 bed house with some land, near the sea, or in a lovely suburb of Christchurch costs $250,000 - $300,000 = Middle ground of about £98,000. And a nice new SUV is going to cost us $15,000 = £5000.

So our income will be less, probabaly even less than $60 - 70,000 NZ a year each. But the cost of living is lower, a healthier lifestyle, a more positive outlook to life......

I think you're right, we'll have to think about it carefully. We love living where we are, but we don't want to ignore other opportunities. As you say, it would be a very big move :?

Just got back from my sister and her boyfriends house, my mum was tidying it up a bit because they are back from holiday tonight, its huge  they had a massive extension put on it, I didnt realise how big it was, theres a games room with a snooker table 8) and a bar 8) and comfy leather sofas :D

Think I'm gonna go there more often :err:
