oh yes
we have a lot to be thankful for to eu and france

let me think what to thank them for first?
to thank english first for 1945 when they gave around 300 000 unarmed croats that came to surrender to them at the end of ww2 to the partisans that killed most of them?

or to thank whole of eu for 1990/91 when they didnt allow croats to purchase weapons eventhough serbs were attacking us with force that has been estimated at the time as the 4th biggest army force in the world?

so much to be thankful for i just dont know where to start

i take that back the part about no thanks to the eu
there were only 2 people at the time who tried to help croatia

maggie thatcher (practically all she did was speak out against the embargo and said that we needed a chance to defend our selfes but she did nothing else)
and the german pm at the time who's name i cannot recall now
i think it was genscher or something like that
