Now reading.....

Metalsmithing for Jewelry Makers, by Jinks McGrath

I've only read a little so far but it's really thorough and easy to understand. I would like to try this type of jewelry making one day but the amount of tools and materials is going to be sooooo expensive.

Reading more of the metalsmithing book and damn, it is a ton of work to make one thing  Never complain about an artisan's prices

Imaginative Realism by James Gurney. The second title is how to paint things that don't exist

I'd like to read the sequel to this one as well
This is full of great information :D Lots of good tips like putting fabric on an artist's manikin if you want to paint a cloaked figure.

It was published recently but he works mostly in traditional media, like oils. He does a better job explaining things than some of my teachers.
