MP3 sourced and FAKE bootlegs in circulation

I have finally received by big package from Dave, but it includes a good number of mp3 sourced :x :x :x
So 20 bootlegs are ok, but 11 are mp3 sourced .... :

Look like mp3 these ones :

1983-08-20 Largo Maryland, US
1984-09-12 Aberdeen Scotland (again ...)
1984-09-27 Hanley England, UK
1984-11-12 Milan Italy
1986-11-26 Munich Germany
1986-12-03 Madrid Spain
1987-02-13 Sacramento California, US
1991-01-26 New Haven Connecticut, US (again ...)
1992-06-08 New York City New York, US (2 CD version)
1993-04-10 Paris France
2000-10-23 Tokyo Japan

I have doubts in few of them.. so i will make sample in order to be checked by Bob...

I have already some contacts with traders who have some of these ones on tapes ....
Why traders don't take a little time to check their bootlegs ??? It takes 20 sec. to check if a bootleg is mp3-free or no ! I have the feeling that mp3 bootlegs are spreading more and more, even for the big traders ....
I really think that us, the hubbers, are very lucky ones :)
 
I have found remplacements for 2 bootlegs noted as mp3 sourced in Bootlegs Manager :

1984-12-15 - McNichols Arena, Denver, US
1986-11-26 - Rudi-Sedlmeyer-Halle, Munich, Germany (that i have received in mp3 version ... cf my previous post)

Other ones are on the way to be traded with reliable traders who have them on tape, or who have sent me samples.

Funniest thing is that some traders have in thier rules they will not replace mp3 sourced bootlegs, while they will ask for replacement if they receive VCD sourced DVD. :? They don't want to check because they are either lazy, don't care about it or don't know it takes few minutes to check them. Obviously quantity is more important then quality. And I'm sure most of them will not mark them as mp3 sourced after you tell them.

People that care know where they can get them.

Hmmm I try to check all of mine, even though I still get mp3 sourced shows sometimes :( :roll: But as for replacing it, it really depends on the circumstances surrounding the trade and the person I'm trading with. I always check them before posting them in the hub as my new releases and if I have any question I don't put them up for download.

To sum up : i have found good real audio remplacements for the following mp3 bootlegs we have already received :

1983-11-18 - Besançon, Palais Des Sports, France
1984-10-28 - Zwolle, Ijusehalle, Holland
1984-11-12 - Milan, Theatro Tenda, Italy
1984-12-15 - McNichols Arena, Denver, US
1986-11-26 - Rudi-Sedlmeyer-Halle, Munich, Germany
1993-04-10 - Paris, Élysée Montmartre, France

Traders have sent me samples that have confirmed that their version was really lossless, and not mp3 sourced :) :)
 
1990-11-17 - Bern, Switzerland is fake ... The date was cancelled ...
The gig i have received is in fact 1991-09-05 - Bern, Switzerland

Anyway, i have received another fake for 1986-11-03 - London, England (1st night). It was 1986-10-03 - Oxford, England instead ...
But it is maybe an error of the trader, cause a confusion could be made with 1986-10-03 and 1986-11-03 .....

I have managed to contact the trader who sent me this one (Hammy 86 1st night) ...
He has made a mistake (caused by the quite similar dates ...) and he's gonna send me the good bootleg of Hammy 03/11/1986 1st night :) :)
