General Football Thread

Owen is nothing but a self serving little prick.
He has no respect for any of his former clubs :|
He doesnt mention Newcastle in any of his little sound bites :|
Doesnt apologise for not contributing anything in the second half of last season despite costing them £40mm over his contract :|

The fact he doesnt mention his time at Liverpool at all just shows he doesnt have a consience :|
He is focussed on Mr Michael Owen and that is it :|

Leaving for Real Madrid didnt upset me that much despite his lies :|
But ending up at Manure
Wearing that shirt and gushing about Ferguson
I hope Anfield show him what we think of him when he comes back :|
His time at Anfield should be deleted from all LFC records :|

Why is Adebayor wearing an Arsenal shirt? I thought he was at Man City?

:err: Maybe his clothes were all shot up and he borrowed a shirt from Eboue or Song ?

:err:

Sunday, 31 January. Africa Cup of Nations champions Egypt successfully defended its title for the 3rd time in a row, 7 titles overall, after beating 4-time champions Ghana 1-0 in Luanda. Mohamad Nagy, better known as Gedo, scored the game's only goal in the 85th minute and during the trophy presentation three of Egypt's players have been awarded; the Player of the Tournament went to Ahmed Hassan, the Goalkeeper of the Tournament went to Essam El-Hadary and Gedo himself becomes the tournament's top scorer with 5 goals.

Sunday, 28 February. Aston Villa's hopes of winning the Carling Cup for the 6th time shattered following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of holders Manchester United. James Milner's penalty put Villa ahead in the 5th minute after his teammate Gabriel Agbonlahor was fouled by United's Nemanja Vidić. Michael Owen equalized for the Red Devils in the 12th minute then followed by a 74th-minute header from Wayne Rooney, who substituted him in the 42nd minute and therefore sealed victory for United, who successfully defended its title for the 2nd time in a row, 4 titles in total.

This kind of implies it was the 4th year running they have won the league cup.
It is actually only the 2nd year running.... and it is the 4th time they have won it.

By the was did I mention that Liverpool have won the league cup 4 years running (a record) 8)

AND

Liverpool have won it 7 times...... (another record) 8)

Who in giving away the penalty was the last man and so should have been sent off :x :x :x
Yet again the manc scum escape punishment and the refereeing is inconsistant.
