Do they have lots of gigs there?

And from the pics I've seen at other baseball stadiums from different gigs....
Do they always leave that batting area there, uncovered and fenced off.
I'm sure if its covered it wont get damaged :confused:

Yeah, they have concerts pretty regularly. Pearl Jam will be there in the middle of August :eek:

I think there's a lot of disagreements about what to do with the field. If you cover it, it's protected, but then the grass dies. :oops:

They had quite a few concerts at the Olympic stadium where Foo Fighters played and the grass looked pretty good in the pictures I saw from the athletics held there last week.
The grass was totally covered for every gig.

is the important bit the diamond? That looks like it’s uncovered.
Yeah, the diamond is where most of the action takes place. Sometimes you'll hit it far enough to go into the field or even into the stands, where fans can catch the ball.

If you get a really, really good hit, which is rare, the ball will leave the stadium :eek:
