Usually I don't care for usually unimportant internet polls, but this one here is different since it's from the BBC and you can hardly consider the BBC "unimportant", can you?

The Darkness and Wheatus reinvigorated interest in the Maiden - but Bruce wouldn't give Justin Hawkins permission to land on his airship (which he's qualified to fly!).

"My take on The Darkness is that they've done very well" he says, "They've sold four times as many copies of their record as we have our album in the UK which is fantastic. They went to number one. They've done very well."

If you're waiting for the genuine love, you might want to pack a lunch.

"They're a rock group with a pop sensibility who have a tongue in cheek, wry outlook on things. Which goes down very well in the UK.

"It throws a bit of light on the whole rock scene, but by and large, we're still going to stick to what we're doing. We've been successful for many years."
