found out.......

little_rockin is a type 1 diabetic

It sux he can't have food that he used to like

And even worse is stabbing his finger 4 time a day for blood sugar readings
And giving him 4 injections a day

I hate needles
Its been information overload for the last 4 days.... I never realised how tough it was
If I could have the injections for him I would :|

It really sux and he seems to be not too bad about the injections...
But he hates having his blood sugars done

My mate asked him how long he has to have the injections for...

He replied quite frankly.... "OH, Until I die"
Obviously he knows it aint life threatening while it is being controlled...

But I think he realises how serious it is...... and that he is in it for the long haul

We were quite lucky in that we took him to the doctors quite early...
He was just a little dehydrated and going to the loo a lot...
The doc said normally when they get an undiagnosed diabetic they are normally in a lot worse condition.. and as its type 1 we couldn't have done anything to prevent it..

But it is still SHIT

At least you got him to the docs nice and early.
He'll take it in his stride a lot more than you will, kids adapt to things so much better than us
