do you have multiple partitions maybe and if so have you defrageed some other partition than c?

Drive aint partitioned.........
I have allways found XP Defrag a lot quicker than ME or Windoze 98 though

it must be
last time i used a windows defrager was on windows 2000
took me 8 bloody hours to defrag a 12 gb hard disk
then i gave up on win defrager

I ran it and it took an hour
Then I thought.... lets remove some progs I dont use.........
So removed shit like MSN works & MSN money and other various shit.....
Ran another defrag and it took about 20 minutes.

No..........

I ran the Defrag and it took an hour......... finished. Defrag Done

Then thought bollox was gonna clear of some programs.
Did this and ran another Defrag.
This took 20 Minutes

oh good
for a moment i tought you actually stopped the defrag

and f course it took 20 minutes cause most of the disk wasn't fragmented :wink:
