If your computer runs Windows XP, you should be able to turn on your personal Firewall. If your computer doesn't have Windows XP, get a Firewall from someone like Norton Or Zone Alarm, that should stop most people getting through.

You'd be surprised what people can do by finding out just a few things from your computer
