MP3 sourced and FAKE bootlegs in circulation

I have one person checking the following:

Birmingham 84 (1st)

Maybe at least one of them will be ok.

i have 2 versions of this show, one is definitely mp3. the other, i'm not sure, but i liked the graph when i checked, looked like md compression. i'm gonna recheck though.
 
of course not bobo, i already explained to you, many traders trade mds instead of tapes or cds. a master tape could be transfered to md for trading purposes.
 
That's the same as compressing with mp3. They should do a proper transfer to the computer.
 
cmon bobo, mp3 is far different and actually lossy. those guys dont know how to start a computer, they simply copy their tapes to md on their stereo. i wouldnt mind in receive a md copy from a master tape. thats the same to compress a vhs tape to dvd, mpeg2 is also compressed. otherwise we'd trade lossless avi files instead of dvds, mate.
 
But why getting MD copy, when you can get real CD quality transfer.

We can't burn lossless video. Video will be always lossy.

The shows i mentioned several posts up should be non-mp3. I have them incoming but i don't want to raise anybody's hopes before i check them myself with HAT

Budapest 1984

I have Budapest 1984 on tape (6 songs)... my mate has received it about 6-8 years ago.
Well... if your version's title is "Budapest Caput" and contains some interviews and songs from 1995 as well... my mate made it from the tape originally... years ago... (you know tape > wav > mp3 > wav - don't ask why it was good for him... LOL ) and I saw it on some list since then. :oops: LOL
Seriously... if you see Budapest 1984 with this title... do not trade for it... "Budapest Caput" will be ALWAYS mp3 sourced.

If our original tape is ok, I will bring it to hub as soon as I can. :)

The CD was untitled, without interviews and bonus songs - and still mp3 aargh
