Hub problems

I keep getting "connection closed" when trying to log in to the hub. Is this me (my brother was playing with my computer today) or is it the hub?
 
Any idea what might be affecting it? I can connect to the internet fine with all usual programs except for the DC++.
 
My brother made a small change there, but not to DC++, only to add another port to the exception list.... and DC++ is on the exception list....
 
My brother loaded mcafee 8 virus scan software today... it appears to have a blocking process.... if i turn the program off i can connect... will have to find where the setting is that is blocking the hub....
