You can tell your History teacher that yawning is actually a reflex action caused when the brain is lacking oxygen. It is not a sign of boredom or laziness, its actually a sign that your body is trying draw in more oxygen to keep you alert, so that you can continue focusing your attention on the task in hand

Why don't you suggest he asks one of the Biology teachers about it if he wants to know more :wink:
