Eto'o rules out Blues switch
19 May 2005 00:00

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o has blasted Jose Mourinho and told Chelsea to forget about making a summer move for his services.

The 24-year-old Cameroon frontman has netted 24 La Liga goals this season to help Barca to the title, but says the Blues have no chance of signing him, especially after the acrimonious Champions League clash between the two sides.

He said: "I have no interest in signing for Chelsea because I am in the best club in the world.

"They lost their opportunity to sign me a year ago and now they do not have any possibility.

"Never will I sign for a team trained by Jose Mourinho. He wrecked things completely with his behaviour surrounding the two games between our sides.

"I insist Barca boss Frank Rijkaard is the better coach despite however many titles the Portuguese has won.

"Now my dream is to play Chelsea again because I have many things to resolve with them.

"I am a better player than Didier Drogba and Mourinho knows that and I am going to score more goals than Thierry Henry."
LOL LOL
way to go eto'o

Not much chance of that happening.... got the girls flocking round him already :|

And he's not complaining LOL

Steven Gerrard has released a statement to Sky Sports News explaining
why he wants to leave Liverpool.

The England midfielder admits the decision to quit his boyhood idols has
been a gut-wrenching one and that his initial thought after the UEFA
Champions League victory was to remain at Anfield.

However, he has changed his mind, as he did last term when snubbing a move to Chelsea to commit his future to the Merseysiders.

"The last six weeks have been the toughest of my life," he informed Sky
Sports News. "The decision I have come to has been the hardest decision
I have ever had to make.

"I fully intended to sign a new contract after the Champions League final but the events of the past five or six weeks have changed all that.

"I have too much respect for the club and the people at it to get involved
in a slanging match."

Gerrard inspired Liverpool's remarkable second half comeback against
Milan in Istanbul and has been a key figure for Rafa Benitez's side.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are leading the chase for the midfield icon's
signature as Liverpool fans come to terms with their favourite son's
decision to turn his back on the European Cup holders.

Stevie G has made a fool out of himself and Liverpool FC and us the
fans ,he has 2 years left on his contract LFC dont need the money :|
Let the club get some power back, and stick him in the reserves sell
him next summer we'll still get 20m. Lets see how many trophies he can
win from there!!!!
Truth is gerrard has started to believe in his own hype... The I'm bigger
than the club mentallity...

He's totally gutted me hes nothing but a 2 faced liar!!

LIVERPOOL ARE BIGGER THAN ANY PLAYER WHO HAS WORN THE FAMOUS
RED SHIRT.....

Make CARRAGHER captain....THATS A MAN WITH LIVERPOOL AT HEART.....

you know what will i tell you rockin
hajduk isnt financially strong so we have to sell our players to survive
over the years i have seen many players leave hajduk for clubs that dont have hajduk's tradition
sadly nowdays spanish, italian and german secound and third divisions are more attractive than hajduk
thats the sad part
so over the years i learned one truth about it all
if someone is willing to leave club cause of money (esp in stevie g's case which is a difference weather he will get 120 000 pound per week or 150 000 in either way he wont have to beg money to survive) SCREW HIM
players come and go
clubs like liverpool and hajduk last forever
