cool edit pro

cool edit is not the best software to do "remastering" because there is an important feature missing - you can`t do realtime fx adjust. so it will take a lot of time, adjust fx, calculate to file, hearing the file ... undo, undo ... same again ... it is not worth the pain

you better should go and get a software which allows fx-adjustment while playing like nuendo, cubase, wavelab, samplitude or red-roaster ( my fave ) for example ... they are all based on plug-in technologie like VST or DirectX.

At least you need plug-ins like "multiband dynamic compression/limiter/expander", "small filters like fft" and "parametric eq" ... and forget all the things about "enchancer", "reverb" or "delays" - mostly they won`t work on audience recordings.

and never forget while dealin` with effects - LESS IS MORE !!!

enjoy ... RockNix ///
