It took 45 minutes after I got home for my fingers to stop feeling frozen. I walked about 4 blocks with my gloves on the whole time. I think the trains are poorly heated but this weather is beyond awful

It's very chilly in here, especially by the windows. One of my plants was drooping very badly so I moved it to a warmer spot

My croton plant looks way better. It started to grow berries

I can't tell why but I had more chipotle chili tacos tonight and they didn't seem as spicy. Maybe I'm getting used to it, maybe they mellowed out from being in the fridge overnight, maybe it was from piling cold veggies and plenty of avocado on them.

But I think I'm going to get some New Mexico red chili powder for my next batch because that's somewhat less spicy

It's flu season. Generally I don't get the flu even when I'm surrounded by people who have

It's supposed to be pretty easy. You put baking soda on sliced raw chicken and let it sit for 20 minutes, then rinse it off

It was worth it. The chicken came out so soft and it was juicier than normal

I'm thinking about my coworker, who told me today that her hours were severely cut. They're having a big theft problem at the other store. They're giving her one shift a week and she can't make it on that.

I'll really miss her if she goes. I know people have to do what's best for them. It just sucks because I always liked working with her :/
