i have the will to make this thread for a long time so the time is came now :D

I'd like with this vote, to know which album could be the 1st one in our heart. you will have to take as parameters the contribution or what this album brought to the music.
After rode this list, you'll see the wealth of 10 years of music compared to the last 25 years.

as first choice, I decided to not put any Rolling Stones or Beatles coz they have all chance (specially the Beatles) to win but it was essential to put them with the others 8)

surely, some album of your heart won't be there

p.s : I put a KC & the Sunshine Band only for bocky oldy friendy :D :P

very difficult question
every one of those albums had an impact on the music and one could argue for couple of them to be the biggest rock albums of all time
it all comes down to how one defines big? is it big as in the impact it had on the music that was to come, biggest as in best selling, biggest at how it was recieved at the time? its all pretty much void when it comes to the very definition of the word big which varys from person to person
for me biggest album represents how much effect did it have on the music that was to come and when i watch it from that point of view i must say that imo you failed to name the album i think it all comes down to Are You Experienced by The Jimi Hendrix Experience
released in 1967 the album presented guitar playing style that was something unheard before and which was later copied by almost every rock band. jimi hendrix invented guitar playing. jimi hendrix opened the doors widely for bands like iron maiden, black sabbath, deep purple, judas priest, led zeppelin....
one could safely say jimi hendrix made rock as we know it possible

I didn't put any Hendrix's album coz i always forget him in my music's thoughts and i haven't any album by him
I have to say that i don't like too much his music even if I have all the respect for what he did for the popular music

you vote for queen  it's strange, it's not what I was thinking for you

someone vote and didn't post then :|
out of all albums you named i can't decide between the 3
in rock, IV and dark side of the moon

somehow i'm closest to dropping dark in rock

and you can see that all the bands or singers which are in this list are all english except Neil Young & KC (:err:)

you can mesure all the contribution that England gave to music   RESPECT

see you placed in kc and made no room for jimi

that gives this poll credibility

EDIT: no disrespect meant to KC but come on i mean they sure as hell weren't as important as jimi
