is anybody here already read the poem of Samuel Taylor Coleridge that inspired the master piece by Maiden.

I rode it many years ago when i discovered the song (what a really great piece from our band)
this poem of 1797 is really fantastic and i think a classic from english litterature. He wrote this poem when he was 25

all ppl that didn't read it should do.

"One after one, by the star-dogged moon,
Too quick for groan or sigh,
Each turned his face with a ghastly pang,
And cursed me with his eye"
............
............

I had to do a huge study on it last year, that and the charge of the light brigade. Both amasing poems.

It's amasing that Steve can think up any song. Amasing that anyone can make up any song!

I want to read it, when I`ll have the time...

I heard its about 3 times or so longer than "the song".

Murders in the Rue Morgue got me into E.A.Poe back then.
