man.. i cant wait for this new album, it has been driving me mental. i dont get it though.. in the interview with nicko and janick on this topic they said it was somewhat "progressive". what do they mean by this? this stumps me, i mean they're fucking maiden. what the hell is progressive? :shock: :?

and to answer to your question, progressive music is a certain style of music which include long piece with a lot of change of rythm, some breaks and differents sounds in the same song. The pieces are during generaly between 7' and 20' minutes (sometimes more). Mike Oldfield made some albums with only 2 pieces :D . The most popular bands are Genesis, Pink Floyd, Rush, Marillion, Klaus Schulze, Manfred Mann, Jethro Tull, Yes, Dream theater and many more .............
