Iron Maiden and you!

It was 81/82??? I was waiting for the new AC/DC album to come out and listening to WHJY in Providence... they played Run To The Hills. I was fairly new metal listener and thought it was AC/DC, but later learned it was Maiden... I bought that album but didn't get to see them until Seventh Son.

Then the next time was with Blaze on Feb. 14 at Lupos in Providence...
cool for it being a small club.

Then they reformed with Adrian and Bruce and I got front row tix at the Orpheum in Boston. It was weird being that close. All I could hear was Dave Murrays Guitar monitor. My friend and I held up a Chemical Wedding sign when they played a Blaze song. Bruce looked over and nodded... but then never came back to our side again. I think he was pissed.

Interesting fact: no AC that hot August night. The roadie told us that Dickinson refuses to sing in air conditioned rooms. I was drenched when I left and felt the cool night breeze and looked at a banks thermometer that read 85 degrees.

I also saw them on Brave and Somewhere Back In Time.

Peace out!
