Hotlinking of Images Disabled

Smilies & avatars will no longer display on other websites that are contained within the http://www.maiden-world.com/ domain. We're not a image hosting website, and the images on this site are intended for use here.

Some other BB's have been pulling 700-1000 copies of our images a day because people are hotlinking them across.. That bandwidth can be better spent on serving requests to users of this site & forum.

This also applies to *all* of the images on the website, including Bootleg covers. If you want to have the images on your website, save them and put them on your own webspace instead.

Is this post actually serious? Is there some alternate universe where using someone else's resources and bandwidth is "normal" when they are actually in need of them.

If it is, I suggest "TheSeventhOne" gets in touch with me and explains why remote linking to the smilies is so important to him...
