castle??

hey folks.im a long time maiden fan and new to this forum.first i wanna say hello to all.
second and thats why i created this topic is:

im trying to find out now for years but it seems to be impossible ....
i would like to know whats the name of the castle ruin in the fear of the dark booklet and where is it located.
does anyone of you have informations about it?
i would be happy if someone could help.it drives me nuts that i cannot find it out.

Dude this one is really tricky, and i have to be honest and say that i don't know what the 'ruin' is.

But consider this, it could be a castle, but doesn't have to be. It could be the ruins of part of a fortified abbey or manor house as much as a castle.

As to location we know that Fear of the Dark was recorded at Steve's Barnyard studio. So it may not be unreasonable to asume that the ruin is within the county of Essex, near where the studio is situated?

I wish i could help you more but i think you are just going to have to keep on looking. The other things to consider is that there is no indication that the 'ruin' is actually in the uk, which makes your search even more difficult :shock:

I have tried looking at web references to George Chin and Phil Anstice, the photographic guys involved with the album, but as yet i have found no indication in their resources of where the photo's where taken.

Is a Cathedral. I don't remember the perfect place but if i'm not wrong is in the south of England...or nearby. But it's a Cathedral not a castle!
