....and re-reading Julius Ceasar ...the first time I read it was for some exam when I was in school....

Berlin: The Downfall 1945 by Anthony Beevor. This guy's historical books are excellent. They are factual, but also have a personal base to them, including first hand accounts and stories of people who were there at the time. I highly recommend his book Stalingrad, its a long read, but boy does it make you appreciate how terrible that whole battle was for everyone concerned
