The Plumber That Rocks
Every day this week I have been subjected to news that George Best is
on his last legs on the radio, or on the front page of the newspaper.
Quite frankly I dont care :|
4/5 years ago somebody died, and that person chose to donate their organs
to help someone else live after their death.
Unfortunately George Best got the liver :|
He got a second chance and what did he do... pickle this one as well.
Didnt he think that someone else could have been waiting for a liver
transplant somewhere else and maybe has died now as a result of not
having this liver.
Ok he is an alcoholic.... maybe the doctor that chose to let him have the
liver is to blame then. :|
I am fed up with it now and from reports I guess he hasnt got long to go
now..... The only reason I will be sad is because someone else could
have had the chance and as he was famous he got the chance first :|

George Best the legend died when he started drinking after he got his
liver transplant.

Maybe George Best the selfish bastard should think that over :|

sure he got a new chance he should have used much better
but george best is an addict. if you think that addictions can be broken easily than you are very wrong my friend
if it was like that there wouldn't be so many addicts in the world
drug addicts for example. they start taking drugs out of curiousity and stuff like that but when they become addicted they take drugs cause they have to in order to function properly
same thing is with alcohol
you obviously have no idea what addiction is but i know cause we had more than a few addicts in our family(wider one of course)

to break an addiction takes a lot of fuckin time, willpower, mental strenght, determination......
george best obviously lacks these things

Maybe I should blame the people who made the decision to give him the new Liver in the first place then.
Maybe if they bought in other people that may have needed the liver after
his transplant and said....

"Right George... these people are gonna die coz they werent as fortunate as
you to get a transplant, so lay off the booze"

He had a 2nd chance and he has messed it up.
 
I can see how the selection process works as well....

MMMMmmmmmmm who gets the liver then.....

The super rich, Alcoholic, England legend, TV Pundit etc in his private hospital.
or
Mr ordinary who doesnt drink, in an NHS hospital.

thats the way the world works
always has been like that and probably always will be like that
so why act like its something unusual
after all we are all equal juts some of us are more equal than others

and why do you think that he hasn't tried to stop drinking

i mean neither me or you have thankfuly had trouble with it but lots of people have and quite frankly you're judging a man on a matter you know nothing about

He may well have tried to stop drinking....
Obviously the thought of death aint enough for him.
I dont really think it deserves front page headlines every day of the week.

In North America. Livers are such a hard thing to come by for donations, that if you had a history of drinking, you aren't even concidered.


That's where genetic cloning would come into play well. but I dont' relly agree with cloning.
 
All i can say is good enough for the drunken pisshead!

He was an A grade asshole....Not because he was an alcoholic but because ,due to his fame and former glory he was given a liver transplant very recently...Alcoholics do not qualify for transplants like this because it is a waste of truckloads of money..He got one,at the expense of somebody not famous and began drinking as soon as he left the hospital...

I know it sounds harsh but he was around longer than he should have been...
He was told not to drink anymore or he'd die so yes i do think he brought it all on himself!


If someone dies of a drug overdoes, there's no pitty, so why should there be pitty for someone who was told not to drink or he'd die!

Oh come on. If your liver wasn't already liquid from all the years of alcohol abuse, (can't deny it, you're english) you wouldn't think twice abuot selling it for 23,000

If you were three months away from failing kidneys, you shouldn't be having a organ donation.

The one thats left has to work harder so has more chance of failure :roll:
